TOP NIGERIAN MOVIES OF ALL TIME

Nigerian movies done in the past are successful classics that people are requesting for a remake or sequel. These were movies that kept you thinking about the characters and the story but there are some movies that have kept people talking for over 20 years.
Here are the Nigerian movies that stood the taste of time.

1. RattleSnake 1,2 and 3 (Action), 1995. I don't think any Nigerian action movie ever made has come close to this great move. Based on a true life story, it has captivating songs, great story line and wonderful Actors. Produced by Amaka Igwe, Starring young Francis Duru, Ike Igwe, Bob Manuel and may more. #Action #Crime

2. Mortal Inheritance (1996): Beautiful romantic movie. Young Omotola Jalade and Fred Amata were the major characters of the movie. Love, tribal difference and battling Sickle Cell disease, these two love birds most fight these obstacles to be together.  Directed by Any Amaechi, the movie also starred Kunle Bamtefa, Abiola Atanda among others. #romance

3. Living in Bondage (1992) :
Andy Okeke played by Kenneth Okonkwo. It tells the story of Andy (Kenneth Okonkwo) and Merit Okeke (Nnenna Nwabueze), a young couple facing harsh economic challenges that eventually pushed Andy to join a cult.
Members of the fraternity swore their loyalty to ‘Lucifer’ and kill their loved ones in ritualized sacrifices for wealth.
Andy killed his beautiful wife to meet the occult 's demand and eventually became very rich, however the nemesis that unfolded became the intrigues that define his ‘Living in Bondage.’
Rumors has it thet there would be a sequel starring Kenneth Okonkwo, who starred as ‘Andy’ in the original thriller, among other cast members such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, alongside Enyinna Nwigwe, Nancy Isime, and Munachi Abii. If it's true, I look forward to watching it. #horror #ritual

5. Ikuku (1&2) :
If you are looking to laugh out your sorrows,  this movie is a must watch starring Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Lt. Sam Loko Efe among others. Directed by Zeb Ejiro. #Comedy #Igbo

Unknown to him his friend was in a cult and manipulated him into begin in it. He compromised to become rich but money can't buy everything. Especially if you're wife needs a child and you can't perform. Directed by Teco Benson Starring  Ifeanyi,  Kate Henshaw, Kanayo O. Kanayo and many others.

7. Agbara Nla ( Ultimate Power):
This movie was scarrrry. The movie is about manipulation,  possession and libration from the power of darkness by a Ultimate power which is God. It is a Mount Zion movie which started as a series but was later made into a movie. It was a series people looked forward to. It's presently showing in the UK. #thriller #supernatural

8. Nneka the Pretty Serpent (1992) 1&2:
One of the unforgettable movies of the 90's directed by Zeb Ejiro. Starring Ndidi Obi, Eucharia Anunobi among others. It's  a movie about  a mermaid disguised as a human being.  Her mission is to get married to men she liked , hypnotized them with her supernatural powers and then destroys them. It was popular around the country even though it was an Igbo movie subtitled in English.  Great acting and story, Nneka the pretty serpent is a top list movie to watch. She keeps telling the men "look into my eyes " ....😱 #horror #supernatural.

9. BackStab
Starring Ndidi Obi and Eucharia Anunobi and others. The movie is about friedship, betrayal and  love. Main character ( played by Ndidi Obi ) was a rich young widow living in a twin duplex shared by her and her friend played by Eucharia. Ndidi Obi (Lisa Mazi Robert) fell in love with a Jonny who came to Lagos in search for fortune but he was being chased by the law for the murder of his uncle. When he was about to settle down with his new found love, his past comes calling. It is a great movie played by beautiful actors. Check it out for your throwback movie.

Score to settle (1998)

A legendary blockbuster movie.  Amadohia (god of lightning and thunder)'s son was murdered under wrong charges, he then places a curse on the land before his death  that ignites problems. Directed by Andy Amenechi, starred Pete Edochie, Nobert Young, Sam Dede, Charles Okafor, Chidi Mokeme, alongside others.
The songs alone in this movie is epic because it’s said to have paved way for Nollywood to try hands in singing in movies. The story was about an Osu (an outcast). The lead actor was Kenneth Okonkwo.
Karisika, Issakaba, Domitila, Taboo, Out of Bound, Forever, Abandoned, Conspiracy, Ti Oluwa Ni le, Iyawo Alhaji.
