How to Avoid Unnecessary Weight After Delivery

Remember to follow these basic tips to ensure you get the best out of what you eat:

1. Spread out your meals through the day instead of consuming three heavy meals. Try and have at least five to six small portions or meals through the day. This would help you not gain unnecessary weight.

2. Have your meals at a gap of about two hours. In case you feel hungry earlier, snack on some fruits or nuts. Don't rush for food every time you are hungry.

3. Avoid gulping down your food and instead take some time to chew it slowly. It may be difficult for you to have a relaxed meal while having a newborn around crying when ever you are eating  but you can ask your family members to look after your baby for some time. Good thing about "Omugo"

4. With a newborn, you will never get enough sleep. So, try to rest whenever possible. Sleep will help your body repair and heal better.

5.Try to eat more home cooked meals as you can and include lots of fresh local ingredients. Don't always give in to your cravings.
